I Found the Strangest Things on My Way Here

Huh? The Degree Confluence Project is an attempt to take all the longitude and latitude intersections (whole degree numbers only) and get photographs of them. My home state of Illinois is covered completely but there are still large number of points that are not. I don't know that the site serves any function other than one of curiosity. The closest confluence to Chicago is 42N/88W and is a simple suburban street in Elk Grove Village, IL.
